I wish I had the great good fortune of having the terrific husband that does all the cooking or all the laundy because I usually do all of it. But my terrific husband does do whatever I ask him and that's not too bad. Also, once I realized that I could send a lot of the laundry out if it gets to be too much or have dinner delivered when I get too busy and he never complains about that. Somehow, we found a balnce that works.

My husband is 45 years old and just last week came to me with a load of his work clothes asking me how to use the washing machine! My hand and arm were in a cast and he was desperate. But then I thought of what might happen if he did the laundry (not a good idea) and did it myself. But he is my best friend, a wonderful husband, terrific father and great provider so....I can do the laundry! He DOES do a great job of taking out the garbage and killing scary bugs! So I'm happy!

I am extremely lucky considering the fact that we were a blind date. My husband not only cooks and cleans, he is good with my teenage son's and he keeps me very happy.

I'm jealous. He makes more of a mess than my 3 year old. Takes me 3 times as long to straighten and clean. Pet peeves, dirty dishes all over, half drunk pop cans and coffee, empty wrappers and packages.  UGH!

Out of most of these post it seems as if alot of wife's are very LUCKY!!! but it also seems as if most coments were from 2 working adults in the home, I would like to see the coments from the SAHM's . I am a SAHM to 4 kid's 2 of which is grown. As I feel it is my job to keep the house clean, I do get abit frustrated at times, my husband is a GREAT provider but that is it he doesnt do a thing around the house except some yardwork or something needs fixed (and getting something fix takes 6mths) lol. He likes everthing to be perfect but yet I'm supossed to pick up after him and be at his begging call, he say's well you dont ever worry about the gas getting shut off I do my part why cant you do your's? I'm like my house is always clean there's things that are not where they always should be and toy's everywhere (that I pick up 3/4 times on a daily basis.

I have to EVERYTHING far as the cleaning/housework.  He think his work is the maintenace or any outside work.  I ask him to help me and he is like do you want to do ____ for me? I say no.  ALso, very rarely he helps.  He always asks me where ___ is.  So when I ask my kids to help it is like pulling teeth  because all they want to do is play.  And when we have people over I get stressed out because for one week straight I am frantically cleaning the house.  My husband will rarely make meals.  Just like with most things w/ the kids I have to do that w/ them too.

I am extremely lucky! My s/o was raised by a single mom and so he learned early how to cook and clean. He help with dishes and everything. There will be nights where I've been really busy and he'll tell me to go play with the kids while he cleans up the kitchen. I love that man!

Wow! You guys are so lucky. Mine thinks all he needs to do is go to work! He doesn't even work full time hours most of the time either!
