Mommy Makeover: Have You Let Yourself Go?

Do you take time to get ready each morning?  Do you do your hair and put on make-up or has it become a hassle?  Suave hit the streets and found real moms who have let themselves go, and treated them to "Mommy Makeovers," showing them that you can look good without spending a lot of time.

Check out Loralie's makeover:

In the video Loralie says that, she feels like her hair pays the price for having a two year old.  Do you find yourself spending less time getting ready now that you have children?

ive never really been a fancy dresser mainly just tshirts and jeans or long shorts. makeup if we are leaving the house i usally put some on but its just eyeshadow, eyeliner and some lip gloss. hair heh i got it cut short not to long after my second son was born, i was so tired of wearing it in a pony tail. my hair doesnt take any work to really fix up now but i desperately need need to get it cut re bleached and dyed blue this time. currently its a very very faded purple in the back so its pink, orange, yellow all mixed together with dark roots. odd thing is ppl have been complimenting me on the color. we are moving this weekend so cant get it done then but hopefully i can get it done before the month is up hehe. i have never had a manicure or pedicure my nails i keep short once they get passed a certian length i have trouble typing and im to ruff on my hands so they end up breaking anyways, toes are normally in shoes hehe.

I've stopped wearing makeup and my hair has gotten quite long, which means that it is usually in a messy ponytail.  One day I will look good.

I went out to a fancy event for my husband's job last month.  It was so nice to get prettied up, but I hated the shoes and washing off the make up that night.

Over all I am pretty happy with the status quo.

I fit into the "throw yourself together" mommy thing too! However, for me it's hard cause I AM a hairdresser and it's my job to try to appear put together. The best way is finding the cut that works best for YOU! This thread has encouraged me to run a Christmas giveaway! So thank you CommunityLeaderKarri! I will make a new post, but one of you is going to get spoiled for Christmas!!! This is so exciting to do!

I would do more for myself-I love jewelry and necklaces, earrings, bracelets....Love to get manis and pedis when I can afford them! But make up-big problem I have pseboriac dermtitis and some rosaus (sp)?. The only make up I have found that is gentle to my skin enough so it doesn't look like I don't havea heck of a sunburn, no matter what time of the year it is. I did get one shipment of it and then it was destroyed in a car accident! The only things that survived were he brushes. After the ideas of mineral make ups caught on, then it seemed like every one was coming up with theirown formula. But nothing but the real McCoy for me!

Putting on my face and styling my hair has become a hassle. I really on do it once a week. I've been trying to make an effort to do it for work but I'm more concerned with getting to work on time than I am with looking pretty. However, as a single mom I should make an effort if I ever want to meet someone and get married lol.

Since becoming a mom I've lost all interest in buying clothes for myself. I only care about buying things for my child. I guess this is a good and bad thing.

yessssss! i FEEL THE SAME WAY! I need to concentrate on getting to work on time, and though I wish I could be jazzed up every morning, I just don't have the time ti requires. I've been noticing it more an dmore as of late because I just throw on anything for work. Some days I wish I was a jetson just so I could wear differnt looks in the flash of a second!

I only put makeup on when I have to go somewhere like work but if I am home then I just shower and put my hair up. I don't take the time to curl my hair.

Yeah, only when I am goin out somewhere like to a movie or job interview or something like that. But as far as going shopping, or being at home, nope. My son cling to me like white on rice. Last time I was putting on make up, he was sitting on the counter and trying to climb on my back while I was trying to put it on. Too much trouble!
